Today I officially went into the studio and began working. Today's task was to get the shelving set and begin taking a look at the glass I have purchased over the past 10 years. Wow is all I can say! I found around 200+ pounds of various glass. Add this to the glass tubing that I got from Baylor earlier in the month and I have quite a bit of glass.
What am I going to use the glass for? That's a great question. I need to make a bunch of beads, marbles and begin to work on my murrinis. For beads, I am looking at continuing to make some necklaces and some bracelets. I just need to get better at making marbles, so I plan to work on them. The murrinis should be pretty special. I don't want to discuss these too much because if they turn out, they'll be pretty cool.
Once I get all the glass sorted out, it will be time to work on ventilation. I plan on copying a system that Wayne robbins from Santa Cruz set-up. He discussed with me about using a fan from a hot tub room. I'm not too worried about a hood yet. If it becomes an issue, I'll need to make one.
Step 1 - Done!
Onwards and upwards to glass studio #4. (Ugh, I'm getting sick of putting time and money into a studio and then losing it.)
