After making beads for a few weeks, it became pretty evident that I need to get a exhaust fan for my studio. Here's what's happening.....
My studio is a room within my brick house. It is located next to the furnace/blower. When I create out gases, they go into the furnace/blower room. From there, gases are blowing around the house.
While I don't mind the smell that comes along with bead making, it is very evident that I can't make beads for more than an hour.
I am now looking for a nice exhaust fan and flexible home.

Embracing my Texan-ness
Now I know that Kansas is my home state and I consider Chicago, IL or the Bay Area in California my adopted cities. Last night, I embraced my Texan-ness. I created Camo beads.
I couldn't sleep a few nights ago and my mind began wondering. The idea of a camouflage bead came to my head. After searching for one, I could find some, but they weren't true camo. (They had pink in them or they were furnace beads.)
Last night I spent a few minutes and created a few. I'll post pictures in a few days. All I can say is the camo looks better on the beads as I made them.
I see a camo necklace coming soon.

It's been a long time coming..... The studio is now open
I finally have been out to the studio in the evenings over the past week. Some cleaning, some moving of stuff and my studio is nearly ready to be in full production.
I need to put an air evacuation system in. While my torch burns, it produces some bad off-gassing, and must be evacuated from the room.
Today, I spent about 1 hour doing random torching things. Made some beads. Played around with colors. Will see what happens when they cool down.
But, I can officially say that Kodiak Glass is producing glass. I can go about an hour before I need to stop. Once I get the air evacuation system up, I should be able to stay in there for a long time.

Kodiak Glass is back making glass
I began to produce glass this week in the studio. "Yea!" is what my brain was saying. And, I found the time to be great and exciting. I should begin posting pictures in the next month or two.
